Dear Fellow Parishioners:

We are all in the midst of traveling through unprecedented territory in our history.  As we face the challenges of dealing with COVID-19, things are changing rapidly on a daily basis.  Please know that the safety, health, and welfare of our Transfiguration Family members is of our utmost concern.  As of this date, there are no plans nor any reason to activate Transfiguration’s Closed POD.  If this were to change at any time, you would be notified as soon as possible.

We all know that these trying days are taking a toll on each and every one of us.  Please do what you can to reach out to your neighbor, your Transfiguration family members, and especially the elderly.  Now more than ever, we need to do what we can to help take care of each other while still preserving each other’s health and safety by taking the necessary precautions. As members of the Transfiguration Family, we ARE, always have been, and will continue to be a lifeline to each other and to those in our community.

Below are links to websites where you can find updated information on COVID-19 and other resources to help you through this challenging time.

May God bless each and every one of you and always keep you safe!
Your Closed POD Leadership Team

The goal of the Emergency Preparedness Ministry at Transfiguration Catholic Church is to protect the health, safety, and welfare of all staff members, parish members, and their family members during an event such as a widespread public health. In our continuous effort to provide a holy and safe haven for you and your family, it is imperative that we have a plan in place to limit the impact of public health emergencies on our Congregation and their families.

To date, our leadership team has trained over 450 parish members to serve as volunteers—in the event of a widespread public health emergency requiring us to activate our Closed POD. We cannot thank our parish volunteers enough for their willingness to serve our parish family—should the need ever arise.
