Ministers of Caring are individuals who visit the sick and homebound:
- In their homes
- In nursing homes and private care homes
- Hospice, Assisted Care and Independent Living Facilities
All Ministers of Caring must be a trained Eucharistic Minister or meet the following criteria:
- Must have received the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation
- If married, must be in a valid Church marriage
- Complete all the required volunteer forms, including a background check and VIRTUS training
Ministers of Caring can serve as an individual or as part of a team.
Assignments can be regularly scheduled, as needed, in emergencies, or as substitute.
Training and materials are provided.
